Listen to internet radio with PrepperBroadcastingNetwork on Blog Talk Radio
Prepping now with prepgirl is about the importance of preparing now for what tomorrow might bring. We will discuss not only important prepping issues such as food storage and skill growth but also the general awareness that comes with the prepping lifestyle. My hope is that this blog will bring new people to the community but also encourage those who already faced some of the challenges of prepping to lend a hand or offer an idea to those who are just staring out.

Conspiracy Theories
Prepping Now centers around the general idea that we can “prep now” for what tomorrow might bring. Unfortunately, we as preppers focus a lot on the fact that we might be in a police (or communist) state soon, and not enough on how to stop the police state from being established. Most of us think this way, “if the US or the world, was descended into an apocalyptic existence, that’s bad, really bad, but I and my family could make our way, we have a year’s worth of food, we have supplies, and we have skills to survive”. On the other hand, if one day the government could just come take you and your family away and put them in camp, what was the point of any of my prepping? We must, as a community, and as Americans be more aware of what’s going on. So that’s where this week’s radio show comes in, it’s time to wake up!

I'm Back!
So it's been a while, I know. In my defense I was pretty sick for a few weeks. I somehow get my show done every week and updated my Twitter, Facebook, and You Tube, but I have fallen behind on my blog. So lets jump right back into it shall we? Firstly, I have a few things I have been thinking about while away.

- Discuss your prepping (to an extent) with your friends and family. Don't feel the need to tell everyone just how much food, guns, and supplies you have but let them know you have a back up plan and they should too. I recently found out that a good friend of mine, who I see weekly, is married to a prepper. She even told me how they have "bug bags." Granted, she does not know a lot about the subject but this give me a great opportunity to talk to her about it, and help her learn more.
- Go through your preps on a regular basis to inspect for storage issues. Is that drum of water leaking? Are your batteries being rotated enough? Are any vital supplies expiring on a shelf?
- While you're in there, how much do you have?
- What skills could you be learning right now? How to make bread? How to distill water? How to defend your home effectively? You have all the tools at your hands right now, so take advantage of it!
